After Care

Post-Hair Transplantation

You will need to follow a few recommendations about after care after the hair transplant if you want your desired results to be achieved. These recommendations from your doctors include things like what to eat and how to sleep after a hair transplant procedure. An essential component of hair transplant procedure is surgical healing. Depending on how well you take care of your transplanted hair during this time, will determine your final results. Limiting the challenges and adverse effects of hair transplant surgery as much as possible is often the most critical factor.

Recovery After Hair Transplant

Your process is still not done once the hair transplant operation is completed. You must adhere to an aftercare regimen after getting a hair transplant. After 8-10 months from surgery, the majority of our patients get total natural hair growth. Therefore you need to make sure your healing process up to that point is going according to the plan. Please remember that every patient will experience a different outcome and recuperation period. It does not always mean that the procedure is ineffective if your hair regeneration takes longer. Be patient and pay close attention to the directions your doctor gives you. Here are some general recommendations for post-hair transplant surgery:

How to Wash Your Hair

One of the essential elements that could affect the outcome of a hair transplant is cleaning your hair afterwards. Our after care team will give you special shampoo of Kérastase and a mouisturizer foam . The transplanted area should be moisturized with the foam and washed with cold or warm water to soften the scabs around the grafts. You should apply the shampoo gently and carefully.

After a Hair Transplant Pain

For a few days following the hair transplant procedure, you might feel a little bit of pain. Some patients have trouble falling asleep in the early postoperative days. It is typical for the donor location to have more pain than the recipient area after the surgery. After a hair transplant, your doctor may prescribe medications and nutritional supplements to help you to get enough rest and to recover.

Swelling

The forehead may swell after a hair transplant, which is a common side effect. It can go on for 5 to 7 days. Along with the swelling, post-hair transplant numbness is also a common symptom. Your doctor will check up on you to see if everything is okay.

Tips for Sleeping

It is essential to avoid contact with the recipient area as much as possible during the first week after the treatment. Patients are instructed to sleep on their backs with their heads inclined on pillows. For the first 7–10 days, you must use a specific cushion or a travel pillow to protect your freshly implanted hair follicles.

Transplanting your hair involves more than just surgery. Following the procedure, you will need to take a good care of your scalp. You may find it to be quite exhausting and confusing. 10. Day Scrabs Procedure

Do not be afraid to injure the roots at this point; all shells must be drained by the tenth day in order for the plant to have blood circulation. The next day, if there are any leftover crusts, repeat the process. You can email a picture to your consultant before and after the surgery to have your status checked. It will only be necessary to wash once every two days once the crusts have been dumped.
